TEMPLE
Natan Report

To : - Executives and Members -

UNESCO :
World Heritage Committee :

Reference: Committee Rules of Procedure :
Rule 7 : Invitations for consultation :
Convention : Article 10.2 :
The Committee may at any time invite public or private organizations
or individuals in its sessions for consultation on particular problems.”

The gigantic Cistern n° 8 (called “the large Sea” in the Septuagint) has been hewn with pickaxes, like a cathedral, within the bedrock of the Haram (Esplanade of the Mosques) in Jerusalem :

This monumental realisation is, to day, the UNIQUE ARCHITECTURE in its original integrity, which remains as Heritage of the WORKS OF KING SOLOMON.

A photographic representation of this imposing rocky architecture can be examined in "photographs and maps gallery" of www.jerusalem-4thtemple.org (this representation was realized by 19th century archaeologists, who have been the only scientists ever authorized to explore the underground bedrock of the Haram, -during a short period of about fifty years- )

For rather absurd reasons this exceptional realization of Antiquity, conceived and invented by the hydraulic engineers of King Solomon in order to supply the Temple of Jerusalem with living Waters of Purification, has, until to date, remained as exiled from this Planet, and is completely ignored by Israelis in particular, and by Mankind in general :

Therefore :

A - As the Temple of Jerusalem constituted one of the fundamental Morals Sources which allowed the progressive blossoming of Democracy (moral values which underlie the action and the objectives of UNESCO)

B - as I am, willy-nilly, the only living Expert with detailed knowledge altogether of the Haram antique underground Hydraulic System, of its evolution from King Solomon to King Herod, and of its precise original Water Circulation,

C - and as less than 10% of all the elements, constituting in antiquity this immense and unique Hydraulic System, have ever been photographed, although it has survived absolutely intact in the darkness of the entrails of the Haram bedrock,

I, hereby, demand the UNESCO World Heritage Committee to consider the implementation of the procedure aiming at identifying, studying, measuring recording and photographing the antique Hydraulic Installations of the rocky underground of the Haram, in order to classify them as World Heritage.

(And this, more especially as this part of Jerusalem is not sheltered from possible earthquakes, which, in particular during the first millennium, in 752, destroyed, for instance, many parts of Mosque Al-Aqsa.)

As the Haram, since an agreement set up by Moshe Dayan, is under the authority of the WAQF, I suggest that authorization be required from them to include in the UNESCO World Heritage studying Committee, an international Expert Geographer and an international Expert Engineer in Hydraulics : for the following reasons :

- A close study of the records of the 19th century Archaeologists reveals in fact the implementation, in the Haram bedrock, of a vast sophisticated Hydraulic System in cascades, altogether unified and dynamic, and completely original and innovating in Antiquity :

- This Hydraulic System, specifically invented and designed by the engineers of King Solomon, aimed at providing the Temple of Jerusalem, under all circumstances and day after day, with ever-flowing source waters, in accordance with the Biblical Prescriptions concerning the exacting Rites of Purification by complete immersion of the body of the Priests in a constant and never-disconnected Flow of Spring Waters :

- And these uninterrupted Spring Waters, collected upstream in the “Basins of Solomon” (close to Bethlehem and holding 400 millions litres of waters) were conveyed downstream by the “Etam Aqueduct” to flow permanently into the giant Cisterns hewn in the Haram bedrock (collecting and stocking 50 millions litres of waters), which constituted, so to speak, the mythical ”Water Tower Source” (Tacitus, Ezekiel, Akiba, etc.) of the Temple of Jerusalem :

Measures of all the altitudes of this vast underground Hydraulic System, in particular measures of the altitudes of the rocky grounds of these Cisterns and their interconnecting channels ( altitudes which I have calculated based on the measures recorded by the 19th century Archaeologists : www.jerusalem-4thtemple.org ) will reveal and confirm to the UNESCO Committee the immense scope and ambition of this innovative Hydraulic System, which is without any equal in History of Hydraulics Inventions of Antiquity, and which, still, remains totally ignored by the international scientific community.

Natan Application

for a "Fee Contract" with UNESCO

REFERENCE : Temporary Assistance at UNESCO :
Fee contractors : A fee contract is concluded by UNESCO with an individual or body having a specialized skill in order to obtain special goods or services, such as an unpublished manuscript or original work, a new or improved product or process, or the provision of other services specially adapted to UNESCO, in return for a lump sum paid in specified installments.

-- In order to help the UNESCO World Heritage Committee to consider, in a preliminary step, the implementation of the Procedure aiming at classifying the preserved antique Hydraulic Installations of the rocky Underground of the Haram (Esplanade of the Mosques in Jerusalem),

-- I, hereby, apply for a Fee Contract with UNESCO, aimed at providing the World Heritage Committee with a 3D Computer Animation of the Waters Circulation in the antique Hydraulic Installations, which have been dug and installed in the bedrock of the Haram, from King Solomon to King Herod.

-- The unique existing 2D Map, with precise indications of Altitudes of the different elements of this gigantic Hydraulic System, can already be examined in "photographs and maps gallery" at the website : www.jerusalem-4thtemple.org

( -altitudes- which I have calculated, based on the measures and data recorded by the 19th century Archaeologists, who have been the only scientists ever authorized to explore the Haram rocky underground :
May I be allowed to recall that any Hydraulic Distribution System in Antiquity (as in Nowadays = Water Tower) relies exclusively on the reciprocal altitudes of its components, in order to enable waters to flow by gravitation into their required destinations.)

-- Of course, this first Computerized 3D Animation would be improved and updated, when the UNESCO World Heritage Committee gets the Authorization from the WAQF (governing Authority of the Haram) to undertake their preliminary Examination and Study of the rocky underground :
More precise and detailed measures would then be able to be recorded, after having removed the mud and stagnant waters, which remained for 20 centuries in the bottom of all the gigantic Cisterns and their interconnecting channels.
